Question 1

Do you ship engines, or is it collection only?

Accepted Answer

We crate and ship World-wide on anything over 20hp, and offer free collection from all three yards. Smaller engines and parts go out by courier.

Question 2

What counts as 'Refurbished' rather than 'Used'?

Accepted Answer

Refurbished means it's been through our workshop: compression-tested, gearcase reseal, new water pump kit and impeller, and a sea trial before it's listed. Used is sold as inspected, running condition.

Question 3

Can I fit the engine myself, or do you have to rig it?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to DIY-fit anything you buy from us. Doing so doesn't void the engine warranty, but our rigging workmanship warranty only applies to engines we rig ourselves.

Question 4

How far ahead do I need to book a service?

Accepted Answer

In season (April–September) we're running about two weeks out. Off-season it's usually 3–5 days. Winterisation slots fill up fast in October, so book early.

Question 5

Do you take part-exchange?

Accepted Answer

Yes — bring the engine and serial number details when you come in, or send photos and hours run ahead of time and we'll give you an indicative figure before you visit.

Question 6

Is trade pricing available to anyone?

Accepted Answer

Trade pricing is for registered marine trade accounts — charter operators, boatyards, and dealers. Apply at the trade counter with a business registration and we'll set your account up.

Question 7

Can I get finance on a used or refurbished engine?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our finance partners will lend against New, Used and Refurbished engines over A$1,500, subject to status.

Question 8

Do you swap propellers, or just sell them?

Accepted Answer

Both — bring the boat in and we'll match a prop to your hull and loading, fit it, and you only pay if you keep it.
